"Truth and reality are two different things."
Wow -- I was struck by this beautiful line in a poem I was reading last night.
A couple other gems from this poem (full version in Farsi reprinted below):
"Me and wine and beloved - the rest are excess,
If you're ready, let's go - there's no sense in delays"
....
If in essence, religion is love, and love is the essence of religion - no doubt,
Without love, every religion is just superstition"

من و جام می و معشوق، الباقی اضافات است
اگر هستی که بسم الله، در تأخیر آفات است
مرا محتاج رحم این و آن کردی، ملالی نیست
تو هم محتاج خواهی شد، جهان دار مکافات است...
ز من اقرار با اجبار می گیرند، باور کن
شکایت های من از عشق ازین دست اعترافات است
میان خضر و موسی چون فراق افتاد، فهمیدم
که گاهی واقعیت با حقیقت در منافات است
اگر در اصل، دین حُبّ است و حُبّ در اصل دین، بی شک
به جز دلدادگی هر مذهبی، مُشتی خرافات است...
