The older I get the more I realize:
all those people I thought were so “cool” and that’s why they didn’t want to talk to me or be friends,
they all were just dealing with the same insecurities & doubts I was dealing with.
Their real or perceived standoffishness was not (or is not) a sign of their arrogance or lack of interest; it’s a sign of their own struggles they’re working through.
I say it again: the distance to greatness or friendship or forgiveness is not between us; it’s WITHIN us.
