Sometimes we are so focused on some *thing* we want: a promotion, a relationship, a goal.
But those roads are blocked at that time; we keep trying, keep hitting a wall, and stutter in place.
All the while, there may be other, beautiful roads that are completely open and inviting to us.
Don’t lose sight of the beautiful and inviting roads, because you’re so focused on unblocking blocked roads.
Last year, I wrote, “Pick a direction, not a goal.”
This year I write, “Pick a space, not a direction.”
When you pick a goal — there’s only one way to win.
When you pick a direction — there are multiple ways to win.
When you pick a space — there are multiple definitions of winning.
Play in spaces!
