Permanence, on Impermanence.

THIS... is the whole struggle, heartbreak; but also beauty, and joy, of life: The desire to build permanence, on impermanence.

We do it allllllll the time.

You can see it in the rusty remnants of a pole, once shiny and beautiful, hoisted onto the ground, to carry something beautiful; now, shriveled and brown, bowing down, to nature and life.

You can see it in the sense of loss and despair we feel, when we experience a heartbreak, lose a loved one, leave a job. "What happened?!? Everything seemed so fine...."

You can see it in allllllll the spaces in between.

Such is life: to bottle a tiny bit of permanence, whenever you can; and to let it go, whenever you can't.

Hug it; let it go.

THIS... is the whole struggle, heartbreak; but also beauty, and joy, of life: Permanence, on Impermanence.
