We often want to “lose weight,” “lose weight,” “lose weight.”
But focusing on losing weight often leads to even more weight —> the law of attractions.
Instead of focusing on “losing” weight, we should be focusing on “gaining”: gaining flexibility, gaining muscle, gaining health.
It occurred to me that the times in my life that I was happy with my weight were when I was chasing something else: playing soccer with friends, working out with roommates, joining flexibility classes with my wife.
For it to work, losing weight should not be the goal…. It should be the outcome of another process.
I should shift my perspective, and seek to gain that process instead.
