Don’t be afraid to face who you are.

If there’s one thing I could tell my younger self, it’s this:

“Don’t be afraid to face who you are.”

Much of our lives, we are running away from who we are. 

Our lives start when we finally start accepting who we really are. 

As the saying ascribed to Confucius goes, “We have two lives, and the second begins when we realize we only have one.” 

Last week I turned 39 — it was beautiful celebrating with family, the closest I’ve ever been to accepting myself.
