“I love you.
I forgive you.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
Goodbye.”
I was watching a movie over the holidays (The Meyerowitz Stories), and the doctor told the children of the dying father that all they need to say to him are these five things.
Does anything else matter, after it’s all said and done — other than these five things?
They seem to summarize the core of every meaningful human relationship.
Make a habit of communicating at least the first four, more regularly, to your loved ones.
