“Whatever’s on the right side of the moon, always gets bigger.”
This was one of the coolest facts I ever learned, from the person who introduced me to hiking.
Meaning:
- If the right side of the moon is the bright side (like in this picture), we are going towards full moon.
- Once we hit full moon, then the right side of the moon will start getting dark, until we hit new moon (the opposite pole to full moon).
Not sure if this is true everywhere in the world … but it’s been true for me!
