My father's final letter to me -- one lesson I'll always pass on:

***If you still have the chance, take that trip you always wanted with your parents.*** 

Here, in his shaken handwriting (because of Parkinson's disease), he thanked us for the final trip we had together: "You left me with an unforgettable week, a week that I'll never forget, that lifted me to the zenith of mental and spiritual health." 

It's a week I'll never forget, either.
