A true story (of privacy law) in 4 acts:

1. In October 2022, I ordered cookies from the fantastic Milk Bar.

2. The cookies never arrived. Milk Bar outsourced its customer support to a third party company called AxleHire, so I called AxleHire a couple of times, until they resolved the problem.

3. In February 2024, I received a settlement notice — apparently AxleHire was recording customer calls for quality control, but forgot to ask for customers’ consent upfront.

4. In July 2024, I received a settlement check for $158.14!!!

Thank you privacy lawyers 😊

I ACCEPT ALL COOKIES!
