When you do the math that way, you gain a new perspective on the value of the salary. 

BigLaw has other extraordinary benefits, in the right environments: training, comraderie, access to top resources and legal minds, etc. 

Money just is not the top benefit, if you make the right comparison. 

In any kind of arrangement, don’t consider the salary in a vacuum — consider it as part of the overall picture.
